How to Make a Planter
To Do | Explanation |
Step 1 – Add the container |
Place a container into the gabion. The container will be the section that you will later add your plants. |
Step 2 – Fill with rocks

Place rocks around the container Before you add the rocks tie the sides of the gabion together with wire to add stability. You can remove the wire as soon as the rocks have been added. |
Step 3 – Cut a hole in the lid

Place the lid panel on top Then cut a hole around the opening of the container using a good pair of wire clippers. |
Step 4 – Secure the lid
|
Secure the lid to the side panels using helical or tying wire. |
Step 5 – Add your plants
|
Finally, add the soil and plants into the container. |

What are gabion planters for?
They are sturdy metal baskets, which are filled with stones to create a landscaping feature for your garden.
