FAQs

Will this material tear?
Its possible but the material is extremely durable.  If you need heavy duty material the following options offer a more rigid material.

Can this material rot in the garden?
No.  It is made from plastic and will not rot in any weather conditions.

Is this product really effective?
Yes.  It does what it is supposed to do.  The higher the % of the protection the greater the amount of gust that the netting will stop.  For example, 55% netting will reduce gust by 55% allowing 45% to pass through.

Which type of this product is the most rigid, dog proof option?
The strongest product available is the 420 gsm (grams per square meter) extruded mesh.  It is made with rigid, heavy-duty HDPE material.  It will probably stop small dogs chewing through it but larger more determined dogs will probably get through.

Will the wind break netting keep rabbits from getting into my garden?
It is not built for keeping out rabbits.  The 90-130 gsm options are made from the tough and durable material but it is likely that a determined Rabbit could chew its way through.  The 420 gsm material will probably stop rabbits getting in but it is untested.

Can I fix it to a larch fence?
Yes.  You can use cable ties, staples or nails to attach the material to the majority of wooden fences.

Can I attach it to a cattle wire fence to make less industrial looking?
As long as the material is not placed directly on top of sharp edges such as barbed wire it would be suitable.

Will the weather protection netting help protect my vegetable patch?
Yes. It is designed to stop the gust damaging your veg.  It will help to reduce soil erosion, wind-borne diseases as well as direct damage to crops caused by adverse weather.

This material is also UV treated and works just as effectively at keeping out sunlight during summer months.
